When it comes to refrigerant leak detection, the predominant sensing technologies are Non-Dispersive InfraRed (NDIR) and Metal-Oxide Semiconductor (MOS). NDIR is the most performing technology however, its cost has prevented broad adoption in light commercial and residential applications. The N.E.T. LOW cost IREF-LITE sensor is the professionals choice!
The typical MOS sensor unique characteristic is it's BROAD response to gases including the Refrigerant TARGET gas. Interferants including VOC's, other Toxic gases, Hydrocarbons and even Humidity and Temperature changes, affect the MOS sensor performance. The MOS sensor offers broad sensing capabilities at a low cost however, it is not a precision sensor for the measurement of Refrigerant gases including, modern A2L gases. Modern refrigeration systems depend on the precise operation of subsystems therefore, the only precise and dependable method for the detection of Refrigerant Gases is Non-Dispersive InfraRed - NDIR Technology. The N.E.T. IREF-LITE offers Superior Gas Selectivity to avoid false and undetected alarms thus reducing cost.
